Apple has finally updated the aging design of the iMac. The all-in-one desktop which used to be white with a trademark rimshot glass case is now aluminum and glass. The body of the new iMac is akin to the iMacs since the G5. It stayed with the introduction of the Intel processors and now it’s been updated, this time with a totally new look that leaves me with mixed feelings.

Three days before the coveted iPhone hits the shelves of Apple Stores across America, Apple has revealed the plans available for its device to be used on the AT&T network. As I mentioned before, Canada has really atrocious data plans. So what might be in store for Canada?

iMac Vector Resource

I Bought a Mac recently held a logo contest where the winner would win an Apple TV. Unfortunately my submission didn’t rally enough votes, but the winning logo by Christopher Ware definitely deserved the win. Its design is simple and gets the point of the site across well. Congratulations Christopher!

iMac in a boxSince only the winning logo had to release rights, my logo is still free for use. However, I don’t really have a use for the illustration I created, so I felt someone else might be able to make better use of it.

You’ve probably seen those ads on TV, “Hi I’m a Mac, and I’m a PC.”
Apple Get a Mac TV AdsApple has some great marketing going on, and more and more computer users, especially college students are making the switch. In my second year of university, I’ve noticed a lot more students packing Apple laptops compared to my first year. As the school year comes to an end, the thought of purchasing a new Macbook has possibly crossed your mind. Maybe you want to know what all the hype is about.

Well, I’m here to lay out the pros and cons. I would like to advise college students who are considering switching whether or not they really need to.

My Album

Good news, Apple now gives credit for individual tracks you’ve purchased in the past in the case you now want to purchase the album.

My sister Kim owned a 2GB black iPod nano (1st gen) and wanted to upgrade it to something with a little more capacity that also didn’t scratch so easily. Since Apple released the 2nd generation of iPod nanos, she had her eye on the 8GB black nano. Once she sold off her 1st gen nano, I helped her purchase a brand new nano.
