Happy Chinese New Year!

February 7th marks a new start on the Chinese calendar, and it will be the year of the mouse — or rat if you prefer (the ambiguity stems from the chinese word ιΌ  which means both rat and mouse). I’d like to extend my greetings of well wishes and prosperity beyond my family and friends to the readers of my blog too :) . I had fun sending out a mass email with a design I was working on the past few days:

Happy Chinese New Year

If you’re looking for some literature to read on the Chinese New Year, the article on wikipedia has a lot of info. It’s kind of fun to read which zodiacs are compatible/conflicting, what the year of the mouse will bring, and some of the superstitions.
