New Job
For the past few months, I’ve been mostly kicking it back and enjoying the summer. Besides the relaxing part which comprised of hanging out with friends, playing video games and spending sometimes too much time just surfing the web, I’ve also been freelancing. Around the middle of June, I was approached by Foundpages, an online marketing firm, to see if I could help out their design team take some of the workload off their back. They have been getting a little overwhelmed by projects assigned by their clients, so I accepted their offer and have been freelancing for them since then. However, about a week before I started freelancing for Foundpages, I applied for job at Critical Mass, a popular interactive services firm as I was unemployed then and was still looking for a job to keep me busy during the summer. Just a few weeks ago I received a callback from them which I was not expecting.
During the phone call, you could say part of my interview started there. I was asked questions such as, “Are you proficient in Java? How about Javascript?â€, well my answers were, “No, and noâ€. After that, I was called back minutes later asking if I could follow up with an interview. To be honest, I was surprised because after the previous phone call, I thought I was under qualified. I agreed to do the interview and today, in a few hours, I will be starting a temporary position as a web developer at Critical Mass.
I’m excited to say the least. Critical Mass is one company who has been on my mind as one of the companies I’d like to work for since starting my career in web design and development. With an impressive list of clients under their belt (you can view a demo reel over at their website) and them being cited as a leader in their field, it’s almost a dream like feeling when I realize I actually landed a job with them.

Welldone! Its grand when things like that happen!
Good Luck and keep posting still, your blog is addicting to read!
