I think most users tend to ignore Bridge, a multimedia oriented file manager Adobe typically packages in its Creative Suites since CS2. I thought Bridge CS2 was just a glorified Finder…that was until its use was demonstrated at the Creative License Tour. In its latest version, it has been vastly improved and can be much more useful than using the Finder at times. Bridge CS3 even packs some powerful features, similar to Leopard’s new Finder that many Mac users have been drooling over.

Three days before the coveted iPhone hits the shelves of Apple Stores across America, Apple has revealed the plans available for its device to be used on the AT&T network. As I mentioned before, Canada has really atrocious data plans. So what might be in store for Canada?
At the Creative License Tour, one of the presenters demonstrated to us how two new features in Photoshop CS3 allowed him to take 3 photographs he took on the side of the road and stitch it into a larger photograph. In this post, I explain how to use these two new features; Auto-Align and Auto-Blend, on your photographs and achieve jaw-dropping results.
In my last post about superimposing with Photoshop, I mentioned that I would create a secondary tutorial on how to superimpose the ‘extra features’ which would make your doctored image look even more believable.
Inside, I cover techniques such as giving yourself an instant beard with the clone stamp tool, adding some eyeshadow, and replacing text.
Last Saturday, my friend had a birthday party. Plans were set, the gift was set — but I forgot to buy a birthday card! It is tradition to accompany that gift with a birthday card. With the few hours I had left before I had to leave, I quickly whipped up a birthday card which wasn’t your original bi-fold or quadruple fold. No, mine folded three times, and it had Super Mario.
Adobe stopped by Calgary to show off their new Creative Suite of products, partly thanks to Apple who sponsored them to come here. From 9 AM – 4 PM, the presenters from Adobe showed us tips and tricks with the different applications which just blew me away and frequently had my jaw hit to floor.
There were quite a few things I noted from the presentation which I plan to share. Tips and tricks with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign — even Bridge is more useful this time around! Look for a post each week on a tip I learnt from today.
