You’ve probably seen those ads on TV, “Hi I’m a Mac, and I’m a PC.”
Apple has some great marketing going on, and more and more computer users, especially college students are making the switch. In my second year of university, I’ve noticed a lot more students packing Apple laptops compared to my first year. As the school year comes to an end, the thought of purchasing a new Macbook has possibly crossed your mind. Maybe you want to know what all the hype is about.

Well, I’m here to lay out the pros and cons. I would like to advise college students who are considering switching whether or not they really need to.

I was looking through a newsletter from Play-Asia in my email and scrolled through and was intrigued by a product photo they listed from Logitech. Play-Asia is known for selling video-games, consoles, import soundtracks, etc. but it’s not common they advertise an electronics item in their newsletter like this, especially one at the price-point of $249.

Fellow Canadian Thomas Purves has just written up an article on his blog about the sad reality of how our local wireless providers are charging Canadians way too much when it comes to Mobile Data Access (eg. viewing/sending emails, surfing the internet on mobile devices). Thomas has put this into perspective best by creating a comparison graph of how much Canadians would be paying to transfer 500mb with Telus, Bell, Fido or Rogers:

As kind of a mini-celebration for refreshing the site, I thought, “what better way to celebrate than release a couple of goodies?”

I am glad to finally unveil the new theme for goSammy which I’ve personally referred to as Sol-Inspire. I estimate that it took me close to an entire week to work on this theme. Nearly 4 days on creating 3 drafts of photoshop mockups and 2 days of actually coding the theme for wordpress.

I’d love to hear what you guys think of it and feel free to comment on any suggestions.
