This weekend my parents and I did a little car shopping. We didn’t purchase anything nor do we plan to in the next year at the least. However, my parents were certainly interested in a hybrid car and both the Toyota Camry Hybrid and Nissan Altima Hybrid came to mind.

Before I knew plug-ins existed that allowed you to implement RSS feeds into Wordpress, I found a solution for this by putting my C++ programming knowledge to use and hardcoded php into my themes. I still use it and have not resorted to using a plug-in since my solution still works great…
This has had to have been the fastest shipping time I’ve ever received on anything I’ve ever ordered. I pre-ordered an educational copy of Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard about a week ago. Maybe they shipped pre-orders earlier (who knows), but yesterday I got the email saying that Adobe CS3 was shipping. By this afternoon, it arrived in the mail!
I Bought a Mac recently held a logo contest where the winner would win an Apple TV. Unfortunately my submission didn’t rally enough votes, but the winning logo by Christopher Ware definitely deserved the win. Its design is simple and gets the point of the site across well. Congratulations Christopher!
Since only the winning logo had to release rights, my logo is still free for use. However, I don’t really have a use for the illustration I created, so I felt someone else might be able to make better use of it.
PicLens is currently a Safari-only extension in its beta stages with Firefox and IE versions said to be in the works. It adds interactivity to most of the popular photo spots on the web by allowing you to convert your experience of browsing through a gallery of thumbnails, into a more cinematic one. The most notable feature of this extension is the ability to see photos in full-screen that is just a click away. What’s even more special is that when Piclens displays the photo in full-screen, it seems to be able to access the highest resolution photo available, even if the author wishes to restrict access to higher resolutions of their photo.
