I saw it running around as a rumor for a while but when I checked the iTunes store this morning, I realized it was true. Yes, Apple will give you credit for individual tracks you’ve purchased in the past if you change your mind and now want to purchase the entire album.

It seems that with the introduction of this new offer, Apple is allowing this offer to be retroactive to any albums that contain songs you’ve purchased in the past. However it seems this offer is “limited-time only”, so hurry if you want to take advantage.

Otherwise, you will have 6 months to purchase the album with credit for any individual tracks you’ve purchased from this point on.

I wonder if there are any angry customers out there who’ve purchased a few tracks, then later changed their mind and purchased the album as well before this offer.
