NIKE + iPod
A week ago, I ordered my sister a refurbished black iPod nano. Since Apple offers free shipping on orders $75 and over, I ordered a NIKE + iPod kit while I was at it since no local electronic stores I went to sold it. I’m hoping this kit will help encourage me to exercise a bit more to keep fit like the effect DDR had on me. I guess I have a bit of an obsession with personal statistics and records so I’m hoping this product does what it says it does.
This kit came in the mail just one day later than the nano. I was a little bit surprised that my order just didn’t come in one package. Yet, overly large boxes were used to ship these products. The box the nano came in could have probably fit in 30 nanos, and to fill this empty space, a bunch of crumpled up paper was used (what a waste!). I was amused by the packaging this NIKE + iPod kit came in though:
I have never seen this ‘air cushion’ inside a package before. I guess it did the job well since everything arrived in perfect shape but it was something I was amused by.
Unfortunately I haven’t opened it up yet since I’m trying to think of a way to attach the chip to my runners without me having to go out and purchase another pair of shoes. I guess I can try putting it on my laces but we’ll have to see.
