Avenged Sevenfold Live in Calgary
My sister converted me to sevenfoldism. Since she let me listen to Waking the Fallen this band has caught my eye. I wasn’t really a big fan of hardcore, but City of Evil was a release I was really impressed with. This band is part of the reason I started picking up the guitar. Anyways, on September 9th I was one of the lucky ones to watch them perform live (for the third time in my records) in Calgary. Both times they played at MacEwan Hall was a total blast, but I still have that fond memory of when they performed at Warped Tour and a fan beside me tried to get me to crowd surf. Good times.

Now why am I blogging about this show? This was the first time I actually brought a camera to a show, and I have some pictures to prove it (I fooled the security guard that I was taking some photos on behalf of the university). I would have taken more but because of the lack of planning, the batteries died early on. Sad I know, but it would have been to much of a hassle to force my sister to fight through the crowd, go to the bag check and grab a fresh pack of batteries out of her bag.

Below are some of the few shots that actually turned out decent. It’s hard to get my Powershot A40 to focus from such a far distance.

@Taste Of Chaos: I’m envious, I only have the Schecter Omen 6 and I find myself missing the tremolo bar sometimes. The specs on Syn’s Schecter sound wicked.
