The Observation Deck
Today my friends and I went to the Calgary Tower because my mom borrowed a pass that allowed 6 people to use the elevator for free (originally it costs about $12/person).
Once we got up on the observation deck, I started snapping a bunch of photos, but with the installation of the new glass platform, we all had wacky ideas.
As you can see in the photo to the left, I had the idea that perhaps a photo could be taken that made you look as if you were skydiving. It was a worthy attempt but unfortunately the metal supports get in the way.
To show how neat or trippy the glass platform is, the photo to the left is a view from the glass platform with my shoes in the foreground. Fortunately all of us weren’t psyched out with the view even though it sometimes felt like nothing was holding you up.
Besides the wacky ideas involving the platform, we also took our fair share of “wtf” photos, such as the one to the right, of me trying to squish Peter’s head.
Other photos I took were magnificent views of the city. I think I took some decent shots of the city from the glass platform despite my poor skills with my dad’s Canon EOS 20D digital SLR.
